If you wish to move your domain name from one PKNIC account to another, you may initiate the transfer process by following the procedure given below.

For Company : If the domain belongs to a company/organization, then you need to provide the following details:

  1. Written authorization from the CEO/Director/Head etc., (not Domain Agent or Technical Contact), duly signed and stamped on the official letterhead of the company. Also specify the current domain account ID in the authority letter, from which domain need to be transferred and the account ID to which you intend to transfer the domain
  2. A clear copy of the CNIC of the signing authority.
  3. Here is a Sample Authorization Letter, which you can download.
  4. Sample Affidavit Format, which you can download, if affidavit is required, as explained below.

If for some reason, the registrant information (fully or partially) does not match with the information provided in the documents, then an affidavit in the proper format (stating the factual position, claim, and explanation of why the domain registrant information does not match) is also required with the official authorization letter. Also specify the domain account ID in the authority letter, from which domain needs to be transferred, and the account ID to which you intend to transfer the domain. The affidavit must comply with the legal requirements such as stamp paper (worth Rs. 100), and attested by oath commissioner.

For Individual : If the domain is owned by an individual, then you need to provide the following details:

  1. An affidavit in the proper format (stating the factual position and claim) duly signed with complete contact details (i.e. name, address, contact numbers, etc). If registrant information is mismatched then also provide an explanation of why the domain registrant information does not match. Also specify the domain account ID in the authority letter, from which domain needs to be transferred, and the account ID to which you intend to transfer the domain. The affidavit must comply with the legal requirements such as stamp paper (worth Rs. 100), and attested by oath commissioner.
  2. A clear copy of the CNIC of the signatory (domain owner).

Note:
  • A domain can only be transferred, if it is not expired.
  • For Account ID you can specify the account number or the account name (username).
  • Scanned images of authority letters are not accepted. You have to send the original copies of the required documents by post.
  • Once the authorization documents are received and processed, they are verified by phone. It takes about 3-4 business days (after verification of documents) for a transfer to go through, so please plan accordingly!
